13th Annual Fright Nights in Gatlinburg

Ripley’s Haunted Adventure in Gatlinburg, Tenn. is celebrating its 13th annual Fright Nights this year with “Backwoods Terror: You Just Made a Wrong Turn.” You’ve heard the legend of what lives in the “hollers,” of Tennessee, now come see them for yourself – up close and personal!

Best known for its year-round haunting, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure will become even scarier as the number of performers is increased and themed surroundings are added – designed to play on your sight, sound, touch and – smell!

Fright Nights run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October. Shows kick off nightly at 6:13 p.m. with a character parade.

10th Annual Fright Nights in San Antonio
Challenges Visitors to Face Their Worst Fear

 

It’s not easy confronting those internal demons and fears, but Ripley’s Haunted Adventure in San Antonio, Texas is providing that opportunity to any and all this month. Sure it’s Halloween and you are supposed to be scared – but this year the scream engineers in San Antonio are adding new and sickly twists to your fear allocation.  It’s truly TERROR in TEXAS across from the Alamo.

Fresh for 2011 is Fright Nights – On the Plaza. Ripley’s Haunted Adventure has been turned into a one-stop dread shop featuring: fear of the dark, fear of the dead, insects, fear of being closed in with no way out, fear of being trapped in small places, heights, and even one of the most prevalent – the fear of clowns. (And we’re not talking Bobo here!) All these spectacular fears, plus some you have probably never thought of will be served up all October – all seen and experienced in ways you have dreaded all your life!  Guests will finally have the chance to face ALL their fears in one place. Irrational fears regale this month, with more live actors than ever with ALL being trained to sense YOUR innermost fears!

 Located at 329 Alamo Plaza, across from The Alamo, this state-of-the-art, multimillion dollar haunted house combines live actors, animatronics, and bone chilling special effects for a terrific experience.

LIGHTS OUT at the WAX MUSEUM in Grand Prairie 

Ripley’s Believe it or Not! in Grand Prairie, Texas, will feature 10 nights of frightastic fun as the horrific Lights Out at the Wax Museum VII is brought back to life once again.  

Follow the route through the famous Louis Tussaud’s Palace of Wax and discover new twists at every turn!  It will be all LIGHTS OUT!  IS IT REAL OR IS IT WAX? And you may never know, until it is too late! The museum’s popular Asylum of Fear will also sport some special surprises (think zombies) – ready to pop out in the most unsuspecting places.  Can you find them before they find you? 

Think you are seeing things? You are right! That’s you in the reflection, but who or WHAT is that behind you over there – and there- and there? Nearby are many disturbing images as you wind your way through the MYSTERIOUS and MIND ALTERING Mirror Maze where you may see hundreds of crazy zombies in the mirror wondering if each is at a safe distance or breathing next to your neck.

The Ghost Train Adventure
Two Paranormal Experiences to Choose From

On a “regular” night Ripley’s Ghost Train Adventure is considered the best ghost experience in the Nation’s oldest city. Can you imagine what it’s like during the haunting month of October? You’ll climb aboard the black trains for a 90-minute paranormal investigation through the haunted streets of St. Augustine, Fla. Stops include the oldest section of town where you will stroll through a dark, creepy park, a spooky cemetery, and the 1800s Castle Warden, which is now home to the original Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum.

A Second Exciting and Eerie Tour is Also Available

The Safety in Numbers Ghost Tour is a 75 minute paranormal investigation which takes you through the haunted streets of St. Augustine.  Stops include the Fountain of Youth for a sinister stroll through the long forgotten Indian burial grounds, and the site of the Old Fairbanks Plantation cemetery which now houses St. Augustine’s Haunted History Museum.  

All guests on Ripley’s Ghost Tours receive the free use of a K-2 EMF meter and receive a free 35mm disposable camera to capture the orbs and spirits.

Slumber Fest on Oct 28 & 29; Includes Bone-Chilling Entertainment, Trick-or-Treating and Late Night Haunted House 
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square Odditorium in New York City is turning its entire 18,000-square-feet of the unbelievable into a haunted playground with Ripley’s Boo-lieve It or Not! Slumber Fest.  It’s a spooky twist on Ripley’s outrageous overnight experience, the famed “Extreme Sleepover,” The October 28 & 29 adventure features outrageous performances with a Ripley’s edge (where seeing is believing), plus trick-or-treating, a costume contest, flashlight scavenger hunt, and the bizarre thrill of a late night haunted house.
