Sideshow King Todd Robbins to Perform at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square

New York (July 15, 2009) – Todd Robbins has eaten more than 4,000 lightbulbs – all in the name of entertainment! He also drives nails up his nose and swallows swords, but he’s lost count on those acts!

He also puts on a great, albeit, unusual and exciting show, which he will share with New Yorkers this weekend at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium in Times Square. His shows will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 17-19, from noon to 8 p.m. under the colorful Ripley marquee on 42nd Street. His shows are free to watch!

If Todd looks familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen him on one of the more than 100 TV shows on which he has appeared -  including the late night talkfests of Letterman, Leno and Conan O’Brien and the NBC special, Extreme Variety.  Howard Stern has said about Todd, “this is truly an amazing talent” and Penn & Teller say, “Todd Robbins is a god!”

Situated in the heart of Times Square in Manhattan,  Ripley’s Believe It or Not! offers visitors the ultimate insight into the world of the odd and bizarre. Hundreds of weird and unusual artifacts are displayed in more than 20 themed galleries spanning two floors. Whether examining a six-legged cow, a lock of Elvis’ hair, 24 shrunken heads (the most on public display anywhere on the planet), a section of the Berlin wall, or a life-size albino giraffe, the amazing Ripley’s Believe It or Not! collection proves that fact is indeed stranger than fiction.

The Odditorium located at 234 West 42nd Street and is open daily 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square (www.ripleysnewyork.com)  is part of the Ripley Entertainment Inc. (www.ripleys.com) family of worldwide attractions, the global leader in location-based entertainment.  More than 13 million people visit its 70-plus attractions in 11 countries each year.
